How do I commission an Asian inspired finish for my home?
Step One-Phone call
During our initial phone conversation, I'll ask you some question about your project. I'd like to know
What rooms would you like worked on
Have you had decorative painting done before?
What have you seen that you like? don't like?
What is the time frame for your project?
Have you thought about a budget?
You can also ask me whatever questions you might have.
After getting to know about you and your project a bit, we can schedule a home consultation.
Step Two-Home Consultation
During this meeting, we'll sit down and talk about more specific details about your project.
I'd like to see your home and your specific rooms to get an idea of your style and preferences,
We will look at your favorite colors, and inspiration items, such as a piece of art work, furniture, or rug, that will inspire your space.
I will measure the rooms to be worked on and take photos
You can see samples of finishes, or photos of work that I have done.
We will talk about your budget for your project
I will take all this information with me to work on your proposal.
StepThree-Proposal/Contract/Retainer
Your proposal will be ready in a few days. It will contain details of:
scope of work
color
work specifically not addressed (such as fixing a hole in the wall)
duration of your project
total price and retainer required
payment schedule
If everything looks good, we will discuss a general time frame for your project.
A retainer (usually 20-50% of the price) and signed contract puts your project in my scheduling rotation.
I will then make your custom samples to be ready about 10 days before your start date.
Step Four--Sample Approval
Step Five--Work Begins
Step Six--Enjoy your favorite place!
